Hello again Ann, My Porter ancestors moved northwards through Wollombi, Cockfighter's Creek and Broke before settling finally in Singleton. I recently drove through Broke for the first time and it is quite a pretty area in the valley there on the fringe of the grape growing district. We then followed the road from Broke through to Wollombi following the creek and appreciating the country in which our ancestors frequented.
