Russell, Margaret launched her book last year at the Popular Hall, Millers Forest Centenary of Federation celebrations. It was a great day :) You may still be able to purchase one from her, if she has any left (I'll send you her contact details off-line). Unfortunately it has no ISBN number. Another one I can recommend is : Raymond Terrace and District : History and Heritage by Cynthia Hunter ISBN 0 9586819 0 2 Published by the Raymond Terrace Historical Society In 1854, the 2,000 acres opposite Raymond Terrace, formally the grant of Vicars JACOB, and under cultivation by tenant farmers, was subdivided into forty farms and put up for auction. One of my lot purchased Lot 10, around 70 acres. The property, known as "Riverview", fronts the Hunter River, although these days it's a little better protected due to the levee banks. The park, near the Junction Inn, is a great place to just sit and look out over the river and the flats and wonder what it must have been like. Certainly, a forest no more ....
