    3. I should have Googled before replying June! I think your information might be a clue well worth pursuing - and it fits with something Robert Heal also sent me. Have found Maryland National Park near the Queensland border. It is much further north than I assumed my family to have been at this time but will do some more research. In the meantime if anyone else knows of BORTHWICKS (BOTHWICK in the directory) in the Hunter / New England area in the 1830s I'd be very pleased to hear.
