Anne, Re your enquiry about where the Sydney Gaazette is held. Hawkesbury Library has the Sydney Gazette on microfilm from 1803 until 1842 (the index is from 1803-1829) Many public libraries hold this newspaper. I am sure that Castle Hill, Blacktown & Parramatta libraries would also have. Give them a ring to make certain.
