Hello, I am researching my family history and would be very grateful if anybody has any information on the Stevens Family. Captain George Stevens , his wife and four children arrived in the Hunter River area from England in 1840 -or there abouts. They had land and I understand they were worried by convictrs and undersireables who would raid their property from time to time. His wife died during these raids and the family went to New Zealand on the Brig Success in around 1842 on the advice of John Howell who was captain George Steven's half brother?
