    3. Perhaps someone can help me here. Granville College stands on land that was the original grant to Graham Blaxcell. This farm was nicknamed “Dog Trap Farm”. Woodville Road was also called Dog Trap Road. – Large numbers of Dingoes were hunted on this farm and road. Dog Trap Gates was the name of the gates lowered to allow trains to cross the main road. Now here is my question! I have a feeling that I have read somewhere that these gates were in operation long before the railway line (early 1800’s) and that these gates were used to check identification namely tickets of leave holders etc, etc. Also feel that dog traps were set at these gates not only to trap Dingoes but also escaped convicts. Any one help me here. Every little piece of information leads me somewhere. Laurel Atwell Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.yahoo.com
