    3. Hawkesbury Advocate, Friday, March 16, 1900 (page 5) MARSDEN PARK. (From our own Correspondent.) Owing to the annual tea-meeting in Riverstone, the Rev. H. Piggott has not been able to pay his monthly visit for divine worship there. Mr. Walker, of the Glebe, preached in the local Presbyterian Church last Sunday evening. This gentleman has already visited us before, and his visits are always looked forward to with pleasure. Mr. George Bere has been afflicted for the past few weeks with a large abscess on the thigh, and it attained such enormous dimensions that medical aid was necessary, and Dr. Studdy's services obtained. I am pleased to state that under that gentleman's skilful treatment he is now about again. Miss Jones, the popular head mistress at the local public school, has received an appointment to the Five Dock Superior Public School. Whilst regretting her removal we are pleased to think that the new appointment is a promotion for her, and that her position in the new school is near her parent's residence. The Marsden Park Sunday School is now without a teacher, owing to Miss Jones's removal. We trust the members of the above church will not let it fall through, as the late teacher was accomplishing such good results amongst the young children.
