Is there anyone on the list that may be able to help me with the trial transcript for Sarah Gittens. She was arraigned before the Assizes for the town Of Shrewsbury, County of Salop (Shropshire) on the 14th January 1790, and sentenced the following day to transportation for 7 years beyond the seas. Hi Keith I had a similar problem and Googled the town and council of the trial to find they had an Archivist who was very helpful sent me 1827 newspaper cuttings of the rely I was after which were recorded at the trial. Also made recommendations as to where I migt gain more info. My man was a different area to yours but worth an investigate.
