Hi All, I wonder if that could be Mrs. Rose of the property "Rosevale", which is across the River from the town of Wisemans Ferry. It was owned by descendants of the Rose family who arrived on the Bellona. Elizabeth Roberts 1. Mrs Rose's school (Jean May Crawford) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all Can anyone help me with details of Mrs Rose's school? In the 1828 census, my great gt grandmother, Mary Wiseman, was a student there. She lived with father Solomon & siblings at Wiseman's Ferry. Since Sol was widely reported as not valuing an education for his sons it seems anomalous that he would send his daughter to school! Perhaps he was pulling the leg of the chap who asked him about education!
