HI Norma, margaret, Jean, Janelle and Bill, Thank you for all the replies to my query. I still haven't linked my friend to Solomon Wiseman's family, but it is looking more likely. Thank you Norma for the copy of the newspaper report on the sinking of the "Industry". Apparently William Wiseman did have a woman in NZ and it seems that both of her daughters were brought to NSW to be reared by Solomon's family. Though there were born in NZ they were baptised here. Even if I can't prove a link, it is ceretainly a very interesting exercise! Marie
