    1. [HHHV] Hello :)

    3. Hello J There is a few families I am interested in the Hawkesbury; probably have a few in common with other listers. Firstly, the Eather and Norris families. They are quite large families; my interest is through the marriage of Rachel Eather to John Norris. Their daughter Susannah, who married Isaac Cook, is another research interest of mine. Also the Halls, Cooks, and connected families of the region. Another interest of mine lies in the Pittman/Sunderland families. **I have noticed that many researchers have published that John Pittman (son of John Matthew Pittman & Mary Sunderland) was married to Margaret McGarrett. This is incorrect. There WAS a John Pittman married to a Margaret McGarrett, and they had many children. However this is not John, son of John Matthew and Mary Pittman. John Pittman, son of J.M & Mary Pittman ('my' John) was actually involved with Margaret Jane VOYSEY. I say 'involved', because although they claim to have been married on their daughter's birth certificate, and later, on John's death certificate, I have yet to find any record of this. On their daughter Hannah Pittman's birth certificate in 1856, they clearly state the father as JOHN PITTMAN, and the mother as Margaret Jane formerly VOYSEY. John died the following year and on his death certificate, his parents' names appear as John Matthew Pittman & Mary formely Sunderland; and his wife appears as Margaret Pittman formerly Voysey. The other John & Margaret keep having children for many years after this; obviously this would have been impossible for John, son of John Matthew, as he was dead. I would love to hear from any Pittman or other family researchers. For any Pittmans, I have quite a lot of Voysey information which I would be more than happy to share and would be happy to share transcript information.
