Most people are aware that next year will be the 200th anniversary of Lachlan Macquarie's governorship. Macquarie played an influential role in the development of the Hawkesbury, including the naming of the townships of Windsor, Richmond, Pitt Town, Wilberforce as well as Castlereagh on 6 December 1810. Info about community events and activities is being gathered. If anyone on the list is organising a family reunion during 2010 you may wish to register the event. For more info see www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au and click on the Macquarie picture at the bottom of the page. There is also a calendar of events. Michelle Nichols
