    3. Hi Kelly I found the Application to Marry in my files. About 8 years I transcribed these records. The application was initially rejected and the reason given was "Not allowed until further particulars are furnished respecting Smith as there are 2 of them by the Indefatigable holding a TOL" You will be able to find a copy of the original documents as part of the ARC Records held by the State Records of NSW on microfiche. Thanks for confirming this. I had found the 2 James Smith's on the Indefatigable but wasn't 100% that it was him. Now I will be able to find his records at the Old Bailey. Can I ask where you found the record regarding James seeking permission to marry Charlotte. I have not come across this. Kelly
