Good Morning List, One of the back indexing team has been gathering information to index into www.ryersonindex.org and in her submission I found this notice which may interest a lister. I found the wording so different to what we see in current notices I thought I would transcribe it in full. From the Sydney Morning Herald of 17 April, 1843 DEATH. On Monday morning, the 10th instant, after a short, but severe illness, Mr William Shields, Chief Constable of Murrurundi, in the 34th year of his age, much and deeply regretted by his circle of friends. Very little funeral information appears to have been published in those times.
