    3. Hi Carol, My name is Glynis Wheeler and I am researching the GOOCH family of Scone. I am trying to find out more details of the death of my cousin Pamela JOBBERNS or GOOCH, I have been told that she drowned in the Namoi River at Gunnedah in late 1952 early 1953 and Aunty Nance had to pay two hundred pounds to have her body returned to Scone. As yet I have not been able to find where she is buried. I know that it is a long shot that you may have come across any information about her but I can only try. Many thanks in advance, Glynis ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carole Douch" <douch1@dodo.com.au> To: <AUS-NSW-HILLS-HAWKESBURY-HUNTER-VALLEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, August 29, 2002 8:09 AM Subject: Re: [H,H,HV] Surnames & Places of Interest > Heool heather, if you give me a brief run down of what you want in the Gundy > etc areas I have a look, I live in Scone and have some research material. > Happy Hunting, Carole > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Heather Macdonald" <hammac1@bigpond.com> > To: <AUS-NSW-HILLS-HAWKESBURY-HUNTER-VALLEY-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Wednesday, August 28, 2002 8:21 PM > Subject: [H,H,HV] Surnames & Places of Interest > > > > Hi everyone > > > > I have only just joined this list so thought i would post my places of > Interest. > > They include- > > Gundy > > Moonan Brook > > Ellerston > > Wells Swamp/Tomalla > > Scone > > > > My main surnames i am researching from these areas are- > > BAKER, BLENMAN & ROSSINGTON > > > > Other sub-branches include- TILSE, BATTERHAM, FIELD, SCRIVEN, GOODWORTH, > CONE, COLLISON, JONES, GARLAND, HAYNE, HAINES, CASLICK, GOLLEDGE, COX, > LUDDINGTON and the list goes on...... > > > > I am happy to swap info with anyone with the same interests. > > > > regards > > Heather Macdonald > > East Maitland > > > > > > ============================== > > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, > go to: > > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 > > > > > > > > > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >

    3. Hi Folks, Like most people, we have come to a dead end, trying to make contact with some descendants of Florence Mary Anne PENDERGAST (nee PATEMAN) >From BDM's I know that Florence died in Windsor, 1935 and her husband Ernest PENDERGAST 's death is registered at Raymond Terrace in 1934. Does any one have access to something more specific for this couple....death registers, newspapers, or cemetery records??? They had 7 children and when Ida Doris PENDERGAST died in 1988 it says that all her sibling were deceased and she was survived by nephews Ian and Richard and was great aunt to Sarah and Matthew. Hoping someone knows something more!!! Hazel

I received an email on the internet from a woman who said there was a photograph in both of these books of my GGgrandfather Thomas NEWSTEAD and his 1st wife Hannah CRIBB and I am most anxious to purchase copies of both of these books to give to my Great Aunt who is 90 years old and very interested in the family history. I would be most greatful for any advice. Many Thanks Cathy
