Thank you John & Shirley for the information. From the information that the kind listers have shared with me, it certainly looks as if a visit to the area would be fruitful. A special weekend trip!! Would you have information on Windsor Library's address and opening times. I presume they have a family history resource area - especially considering the amount of history in the area. Thank you Maria Central Coast, NSW

Hi John and Shirley, I have a Marjorie Vera Cross (1901-1986) daughter of George James Cross and Eva Rose, no particulars. Marjorie was born at Armidale, died Bundarra and married Frederick Lewis Beard/Little (my Little family) in 1923 at Bundarra. Does this Cross family relate to your George Cross family who moved to Armidale. If so I would like to learn something of the background to the Cross family. Hi List &Wayne and Lyn I have some info on the Tuckwells if it is the same family - Richard Tuckwell Quarter-master-seraeant (NSW Corps) Farmer/Butcher, with Elizabeth Buckner had 7 children, arrived on the "Pitt" 1792. Elizabeth then married Patrick Kirk and they had 3 more children. Pearce and Palmer are in the same line so we probably are related. Happy to pass on info. Dear Maria, In the Windsor Library there is a drawer full of cards with names being researched and details of the researcher which is well worth a look. The library has a lot of family history information and the local group seems to operate from there, so worth having a day there.
