I am Trying to find information on James Hayman who came to Australia as a convict in 1837 James married Ellen Sullivan in Castle Hill or Dural in 1848 Both are buried in Pitt Town cemetery They had 5 children all in the Baulkham hills area but at some time moved to the Windsor area Wondering if anyone has any information on this family Regards Phyllis
Any know men off the "Three Bees" arrived 6th August 1814 in your lines. Bill
I am hoping to find a lady I was in touch with some time back re Townsend family. Van are you on this list? Denise
Hi Jan and list, Experience has taught me that it is a good tip to do a fresh search every now and then on your family surnames, as new family history web sites are being constantly added. Likewise sites are regularly disappearing, and saving a site as a favourite will not guarantee it will be there when you want to revisit the material. So if the material is vital to your research, save the information elsewhere on your PC to ensure its future availability. I found his grant up the McDonald River years ago. Hi Bill, Yes, Sarah is a sister to my Christopher. My records show that she married Humphry TAYLOR at St Johns, Parramatta,03 Aug 1807. Humphrey was a convict who arrived in July 1791 on board 'Royal Admiral' and was sentenced for 7 years. There appears to be no children to either marriage. Sarah died 26 Sep 1851 aged 60 and is buroed in the Weslyan Cem Windsor. Hope this helps. Hi all, For those who may not be aware, Kathy Pearson has been transcribing the above from microfiche and has been posting the lists to the GEN-ANZ mailing list (she's currently up to "O" I think). For the full "NSW" list posted so far, see : http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hcastle/ and follow the links to the Grevilles Post Office Directory. OR they can be found here : http://www.family.joint.net.au/search_greville.php OR you can browse them from the GENANZ list at : http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/intl/AUS/GENANZ.html Kathy has kindly given me permission to include the lists pertaining to the Hills District, Hawkesbury and Hunter Valley areas on my web site and these can be found at : http://members.optushome.com.au/dianep/grevilles.htm BUT not all the placenames have active links at the moment .... If you know or think that your ancestor(s) lived in 1872, type in the surname and watch in awe. The search engine looks for all names and soundex names that match your query......then up comes a list of places in NSW only where "Joe Bloggs" resided. Dear Maria, There are two volumes of the Hawkesbury Pioneer Register. One put out a few years ago and the other a few months ago. Both are available, or were when I got mine, from Windsor Library. It is going to cost you $14 in postage, so put it in petrol and go down for the day. Well worth the trip. Sincerely, Bill Mick & Maria Thomas wrote: > Hi > Can some please advise me the above book is still in print and for sale and if so where it is
