Hello all, I am retrying to see if anyone can give me info on my convict rels; Joseph Owen and Eliza Harvey who married in 1838 and had their 2 daughters Elizabeth and Sarah Ann that I know of at the Patterson. How when where and why they came to be there I have no idea. I know they were married in Newcastle in 1838. Joseph had a CF and Eliza was bonded at the time of their marriage. Any help would be much appreciated. thanks Judy

    2. Laurel Atwell
    3. Thank you. Dog Trap Farm is now Granville. Dog Trap Road is Woodville Road. Dog Trap Toll gate moved to the corner of Woodville Road and Parramatta Road. . On the arrival of the railway, 1855, this toll gate became a railway crossing gate. Metal traps and earth pitts were used to trap Dingoes on this farm, road and toll gate. People not wanting to pay or pass ( for whatever reason) through these Dog Trap Gates were sometimes caught in these traps. Again thank you all.
