Dear Marg Yes, some of us are still here (even though we are still silent). I send a regular list of URLs to various people and there are two or three who say thank you. It's not really necessary but nice to hear occasionally that all are appreciated. But try this for ego-building (and I know that's not what you are looking for). Recently I won a prize in a Poetry competition for an ABC magazine I subscribe to in Melbourne. I was notified of my win but before I even got my copy of the magazine I got a beautiful little booklet of my poem, hand drawn in lovely calligraphy, from an admirer in Queensland. You can only imagine how excited I was, because in a few days I also got an email from a lady in England, saying how much she'd enjoyed my work. Naturally I replied very quickly and promised to exchange a few details later. Being a bit tied up at the time, my reply was only brief but you can guess how excited I was when the phone rang just as I started to watch The New Inventors. Yes, I missed the whole show, talking to my new acquaintance from England! If you thought Family Historians talked, you should see some of these POETS! Anyhow Marg, keep up the good work. You have lots of appreciative admirers. And here's a thought for some of your tongue-tied fans: It's nice to have good manners And always do things right.
