Hi Kay, Just wondering what celebrations will be taking place and where ? I attended Empire Bay School when a Mr Jones was the teacher, the class room was just one big room and all students from kindergarten to 6th grade were taught together. We lived in a little timber 2 bedroom cottage near the Empire Bay jetty with family consisting of Mum and Dad and 7 kids, so very cramped, I remember bath night and the old chip heater, also getting up early to see the kangaroos in nearby paddocks and the smell of the fuel stove as Mum cooked fried scones, one day my father caught the biggest flathead off that jetty and he nailed the head to the post for all to see and we ate the rest.
