Further to Gwen's post ...I was taught for 2 years by the famous Miss Deasey in 3rd and 6th class at Gosford primary Schools, back in the 50's. The (then) temporary classrooms are STILL in use! She is not in any of the class photos but have samples of her handwriting from my school reports. Her nephew, the late Doug Deasey I knew pretty well. He was a bit younger than my mother so probably born about 1920. She played tennis with him and I have photos of him somewhere in tennis gear with Mum. He also worked in Woollies in Gosford for many years. I know a John Deasey who lives near me who is the spitting image of this Doug but has always been very vague when I mentioned these other Deaseys I know- obviously related. I am trying to find out whether he has email to forward your post on, otherwise I will ring him.
