Hi Melissa, Speaking of Gid's and Grid's there is also free access available to these two site at present:- http://archivegrid.org/web/jsp/index.jsp Available to the end of May http://www.gale.com/ Available to the end of April The first site is Archive Grid "a service of RLG, a not-for-profit membership organization of over 150 universities, national libraries, archives, historical societies, and other institutions with remarkable collections for research and learning." Quite a lot of American Institutions here for those that are researching kin in the "New World". The second site provides access to "The Times" digital archives. To negotiate the second site simply follow these instructions provided by a fellow family researcher:- "At the top right click on - National Library Week, then the big blue box marked "OTHERS", then blue box "THOMSON GALE POWER SEARCH", then scroll two thirds down to "The Times" of London Digital Archive. It doesn't work for common names except over a short time span, but I have found family entries for my family Yandell and Adsley, by a single search of all articles before 1900. Make sure you tick the search box called " in entire article content" In particular if you search this site make sure you tick the search box as recommended.
