Robert Nash is the secretary of the Huguenot Society of Australia. Huguenots were religious refugees who fled France and the Low Countries to Britain and America in the 17th century. Many of their descendants immigrated to Australia. Do you have a French connection? Lindsay Allen - 'Supreme Court Records featuring people of the Central Coast: divorce, theft, murder and more.' Sounds absolutely fascinating - Lindsay Allen is Senior Archivist of Access and Information at State Records NSW. Trish Skehan - 'Klimo, the Clown Who Went To War'. Trish Skehan told us of the history of the Walkers of Yaralla at our July meeting and will return to tell us about Klimo the Clown. From the opening of Government House, the Tivoli, Bullen's Circus to the outback, Klimo, riding the world's smallest bike, entertained everyone. A survivor of two world wars, a veteran of vaudeville with his mates George Wallace and Roy 'Mo' Rene, Klimo's extra ordinary life was filled with laughter and tears, bravado and pathos. One of Australia's forgotten heroes. Peter Christian - The First Fleet: the voyage, the arrival, the people and their descendants. Peter Christian is a descendant of First Fleeter, William Tunks, a marine on the Sirius. An experienced and inspiring speaker, Peter has been President of the 'Fellowship of First Fleeters' for many years. I very much look forward to welcoming you to Seminar 2005, Lorna Kyzelis, President, Central Coast Family History Society Inc.
