Dear List members I am trying to find details on my ggrandfather, David Godfrey Pryor, and his membership of a Lodge at Gosford in the 1920s, 1930s. He died on 3 January 1937 and I have part of an obituary from a newspaper, most likely a Gosford one, but it could have been a Maitland or Quirindi one. It states in part....."Deceased was a member of the Loyal Orange Lodge for more than 25 years and was a past Master of the Gosford Lodge....He was also a trustee of the Gosford Methodist Church." DG Pryor and his son Tom actually built the Methodist Church in Donnison Street. Does anyone know anything about the LOYAL ORANGE LODGE in Gosford and how I would go about researching DG Pryor's involvement? I have recently read the book "Masonry in the Central Coast 1892-1992" part of a series of Historical Records of the Central Coast. The book is basically about Masonry but has a small piece on Loyal Orange Lodge which does not have a lot of detail. Thank you to anyone with suggestions. Vicki
Hi Vicki, You might also like to try the Uniting Church Archives ( I think they include the Methodists - they are at North Parramatta Marg.
