Hi Marg, colleen and list members thanks for the reply on the above, I believe he is the Lawrence McDonald who arrived on the Thyne in 1819 His wife died in 1875 in Sydney. Her death certificate gives no indication that she was a widow. Their daughter Bridget Grant was widowed in 1865 and from the sands directory she was working in Sydney as a laundress as was her sister Catherine McDonald. So am presuming the mother was also here as well. I think that this may be one mystery I may never solve regards Faye I
