Hi Robin in Ottawa Gosford primary school was opened in 1877 and some of the old building still exists and is part of our technical college. I went there in the late 1940's until the site was changed. Last year an excellent book was published on the history of Gosford High School and it details various facts about the establishment of education in our area.
