Pam The other Pipers were the ones of much more social significance who were based around Bathurst and aren't any relation. I'd be very surprised if your Lydia/Sarah isn't connected to the Minorca Pipers because of the geographical connection, and because Lydia and Sarah are both family names. I will have a look at what I have Leith -----Original Message----- From: pam clarke [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, 7 November 2000 13:59 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Introduction to help solve ' brick walls' Hello Leith Many thanks for replying to my email. It would be great if you could have a look on your database and see what you could find. My great granddad was born in 1848 so I'm not sure that the Lydia Piper (b. 1873) you mention would have been the mother of my granddad - however, we must look at all trees/branches or whatever. I have been told that Lydia (Sarah) Piper and my G/Grandad Charles Henry (aka Henry Charles) were not married. It would be nice to find some family - what type of cousins are there Leith ??? the only ones I've heard of are "kissin cousins" !!! - haven't got any of those either !!! Regards PamC (nee Coulter) PS I did contact Dr. Graham Piper who wrote "The Minorca Pipers" - he doesn't think there is a connection although on page 97 of his book he speaks about a Sarah Rebecca Piper. He could not at the time he wrote the book find much information about her. -----Original Message----- From: Davis, Leith (FORESTRY) <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Tuesday, November 07, 2000 12:00 PM Subject: RE: Introduction to help solve ' brick walls' ============================== Shop Ancestry - Everything you need to Discover, Preserve & Celebrate your heritage! http://shop.myfamily.com/ancestrycatalog
