I am researching my ggrandfather and am really stuck. I don't know what to do next and my family won't help because they think it's none of my business. What I know so far: REYNOLDS, John William b.c. 1860 m. when? PRITCHARD, Mary b.c. 1860 They had a son whom I can't find a birth registration for REYNOLDS, Albert George b.c. 1887 m. (1908 Forbes, NSW) CARNEY, Mary Louise b. 5/6/1887 They had 7 children: REYNOLDS, Kenneth George b.c. 1914 where? REYNOLDS, Cecil James b. 2/4/1915 where? REYNOLDS, Albert George Jr. b.c. 1918 where? REYNOLDS, Patrick, Joseph b. 28/6/1926 Forbes, NSW (my father) REYNOLDS, Leonard John b. 17/4/1932 Coonamble, NSW REYNOLDS, Jean Valerie b. Jan/1934 Coonamble, NSW CARNEY, James b. 7/1/1849 Bathurst, NSW m. SCOTT, Louisa Lucrezia b.c. 1856 Hartley, NSW They had 9 children: CARNEY, Louisa b. 1876 Newcastle CARNEY, Laura Edith Eliza b 20/4/1878 Forbes, NSW CARNEY, Daisy b. 1880 Forbes, NSW) CARNEY, Violet b. 1880 Forbes, NSW) twins died at birth. CARNEY, Florence May b. 1881 Forbes, NSW CARNEY, Joseph S.J. b. 1883 Forbes, NSW CARNEY, Mary Louise b. 5/6/1887 (my grandmother) CARNEY, Evelyn M. b. 1893 Forbes NSW CARNEY, Sarah Victoria b. 4/1/1889 Forbes, NSW Information has it that in the 1930's Albert and Mary and the kids up and left Forbes overnight, changed their name to REARDON not legally and moved up to Qld., in the Toowoomba area and never went back. I think there is a skeleton in the closet concerning my uncle who I new as REARDON, Reginal Gordon ( his real name was REYNOLDS, Cecil James.) He opened a bakery in Toowoomba and all his brothers became bakers. Nobody ever told us there was an uncle Kenneth, apparently he died young, before they left Forbes. I don't know how they got in to baking bread as my ggrandfathers (John William) occupation on my grandfathers marriage certificate was 'bootmaker'. Hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance, Sheryl Reardon.
