Since we are supposed to TALK in this group I will pass on a little idea. Being brought up in the Mac World of Cut and Paste and being full of bright ideas(!) I decided recently to update my Name Lists. Some I have had for years, when I laboriously copied details from phone directories then put them into the computer. Well I recently went through the Telstra white pages on line. I suppose many of you have printed out all the entries for a name you are after (excluding the Smiths etc) and will know it's quite easy to "Print Page" and there it all is. But smartie decided to delete all the extraneous stuff, weather etc and all those little icons leading to other stuff. How? Just Drag around the actual entries you want, COPY, then PASTE to a Word processing document. May have to alter to Landscape, then do a bit of juggling by deleting some tabs, line breaks etc and you should end up with a neat list of just the names and numbers you want. Even though you will have to do each State separately, and for each decide on Capital then Rural, you can, with a little work, end up with one continuous list. Sure makes it easy to check with those old lists you have (haven't you?) from earlier years. Anyone else got any bright ideas? (Marg, that should get a few down off the fence!) How come they keep saying "We Value Your Service" but they still ask us to push all those buttons? How do we register our protest? And don't say "Press Hash.............."
