I'm jumping off as well.... I have the opposite problem to Marg - my family came from the Central Coast but our twig is now on the south coast and I now live in Adelaide! Central Coast interests: Edward Davis and Lydia Piper were my gg grandparents. I'm presently trying to trace their descendants. Is anyone looking for HALLIDAY or PICKETT? I'm also interested in finding out how the Dents, the Settrees, and Edward (2) Davis all ended up at Jervis Bay. I think I have the beginnings of an answer tucked away in the fine print of Gwen's ship book. The answer for Edward(2) is probably not so tucked away in a lurid Sydney tabloid somewhere - his wife, Mary Laurie, divorced him in the early 1900s. Eventually I'm hoping to pull together all the strands and relate them to the development of the timber industry in NSW but that is the grand plan that has to wait a while.
