Dear Marg Hope you had a great Christmas/New Year.... sorry I didn't get back to you... (I thought I sent you one about the Inverell Family History) actually I think some of my emails went astray ( I am in the process of changing my email address as using the hotmail one for the newsgroup is almost impossible to logically send return email. And keep track of what I have received. This is my new email address - [email protected] I had a busier than expected Christmas! which was a pleasant surprise and didn't get the time I expected to visit the library. My maternal grandmother's parents were:- Charles G Grigg and Mary Harriett Small - married 1885 (Camden) Their Children:- (All registered Camden except Violet) Charlie 1888 - died 1905 Henry J 1886 Annie 1890 (My grandmother) - married Sydney Austin Haynes 1912 Esther G 1892 Richard N 1898 Clarence L 1904 Violet 1911 (Gosford) My Griggs don't appear to have moved to the area until after 1904.... perhaps the ones you list below are relatives. > >I have the surname indexes for the 1891 & 1901 census for Brisbane > >Water at home . In 1891 there was a GRIGG household in Narara, > >comprising of 6 males and 4 females > > > >In 1901 theres record of Elizabeth GRIGG , Railway crossing, Narara > >, 4 males and 4 females . And of H GRIGG of Erina , 2 males 2 > >females > > > >The CC FHS library re opens Monday after the Christmas break. Could > >check cemetery records then > > > >I did offer to check these censuses for you a good month ago and > >that Gosford was within the electorate of Wollumbi at that time > >and films were at the NSW State Library but for reasons unknown you > >didnt reply I didn't ask you to persue the Haynes stuff because I have written to an Uncle who may possess the information..... but as yet I haven't heard back from him... but after looking closer at the info I had, I discovered that my grandmother must have moved to the area with her family (I for some reason thought that they still lived in the Camden area) and thought I would continue looking along that line. I didn't make it to the State Library over my break (it would have been the Queensland one - as I live on the Redcliffe Penninsular -30km north of Brisbane) but I did manage to send off a few letters, one to enquire about my fathers involvement in the WWII and others to family members. Thanks heaps for all your help. Julie
