I may have mentioned this before and have forgotten (Old Timers' Disease!), but a Charles Jarrett, cedar agent (and sawyer) is included in the index of "Men and a River - Richmond River District 1828-1895" by the late Louise Tiffany Daley. Only a few interesting mentions - information taken from Jarrett's notebook - but perhaps other books about the area will produce more information on Jarretts. Louise Daley's book is full of people's surnames, a real treasure. A number of sawyers from Brisbane Water moved to the northern rivers. Regards, Gwen
