Hi Pat I don't have any information on Eurominda Station other than my 'JONES' ancestor worked there as a drayman in the mid 1840's with several of his children listed as being born there. They moved into Dubbo at a later date and of course I am still trying to trace them there. Maggi maggi14au@iinet.net.au Perth Western Australia see my Family Names at http://www.wags.org.au/mid/8134.htm I do not accept emails with attachments from anyone without prior knowledge . Hi All Have been searching for ancestors in the Dubbo area and wonder if anyone can tell me if the Overland Hotel at Mudgee is still there and if there is any way I might be able to trace the name of the innkeeper about 1873. Searching for gggrandfather WILLIAMS, daughter Elizabeth or Catherine Elizabeth. Also if anyone has knowledge of Euromedah Station, Macquarie River, via Dubbo which existed in 1873. I have ancestors who lived in Inverell and Armidale about 1870 and am wondering if this is in the area of AUS-NSW-CENTRAL or if there is a similar website to this for that area? Re: FARRELL. I also had difficulty tracing arrival of ancestors in Australia. While holidaying in Gerringong I visited the Heritage Library at Kiama and 'bingo first shot' with one lot, who arrived in 1841 under the Bounty Scheme. Don't know if they do research at the library for you, but the helpers, gentleman in charge and volunteers, were great and full of knowledge about where and what to search and produced necessary tapes etc. for me. There may be a Heritage Library in your area? Worth a check. If not may be worth a telephone call to Kiama to check on services etc. Hope this is of some help.
