Hi all, I'm hoping that someone may have a brilliant idea to help me with a problem I have. My Gt Grandmother, Elizabeth Fitzpatrick, had a sister Margaret Jeanette Fitzpatrick, who was born 17 December 1877 at Carcoar. I have not been able to find anything more about her. A Margaret Fitzpatrick died on 27 January 1896. The only details I have on this person are from a probate extract, which says: "FITZPATRICK MARGARET late of near Oberon Spinster 30 July 1926. On this date, the Public Trustee elected to administer the estate of theabove-named deceased. Intestate died on 27 January 1896. Estate sworn at 37.10.0. Election filed 31 July 1926." There is only one Margaret Fitzpatrick listed in the BDMs as dying in 1896. I have her death certificate, she died in May 1896 in Bathurst, and was married with children. I have done various searches in the BDM index to no avail. I think that this could be my missing Margaret, as some of her younger brothers and sisters were raised by an aunt & uncle in the Oberon area (Aunt's name was Anne Artery, nee Kelly, uncle was William Artery), and at least two of her brothers, Robert Alexander (at Essington) and John Alfred, stayed in that area. Does anyone have any bright ideas how I can find out more information on this Margaret who died 27 January 1896? As the extract gives her place of residence as "near Oberon", she could have been buried anywhere. Any suggestions gratefully accepted. Penny
