Hi to all on the list. I live in Brisbane Qld, I have been researching the Hogan & Edghill families of Wagga Wagga for quite some time, I would like to posted my interest in these families in the hope some one may be researching the same families. Three of the children died in 1863 & one in 1864. I think they might have died because of some kind of fever that could have been around at that time. Would any one know. Would love to make contact with anyone researching these families. CHARLES RICHARD WELLINGTON EDGHILL born 1814 in Laoighis, Queens Co. Ireland. He married in Goulburn 1850 to Mary Ann Hogan He died 1889 at Mundawader Station, Wagga Wagga His Parents were Charles Moore Edghill and Alecia Ann Baldwin MARY ANN HOGAN was born at Sutton Forest NSW She died 1910 at Fox Street, Wagga Wagga Her parents were Michael Hogan and Catherine Rogers The Children for Charles and Mary Ann which was 14 are:-- 1 Catherine b1829 d 1850 Young Cr married John J Costello 2. Alicia Anna b 1851 Wagga d 1912, married Edward Stephenson Russom 3. Mary Ann b1854 Yerong Cr. married James MURRAY 4. John Tempest b 1855 married 1887 to Selina JACKSON 5. Harriett b 1857 at Munyrawadra Station d 1863 Wagga age 6 years 6. Ann b1858 Wagga d 1863. Wagga age 4 years 7. Sarah Margaret b1860 Wagga married 1888 to George Donald McLENNAN. 8. Margaret b 1860 9. Martha Bridget b 1862 Wagga, married 1882 Alfred MASON. 10 Emma Jane b 1863 Wagga d 1863 11. Julia b 1864 and died July 23 1864 age 6 days 12. Charles Moore b 1865 married (1) Annie Frawenfelder (2) Lillian M. K. PLUNKETT. 13 Albert Jonathan b1869 married Ann DRISCOLL 14. Josephine, Well, for a start if they were farmers or graziers, you could go to the historic maps site, NSW, and look up to see if they had any property. Forget the site address, but I guess NSW Gov then historic or parish maps. Try for Howlong or other places, and enlarge bit by bit, click in the part you want to enlarge, and you might find their names. Try the local council for rates records or shire council records. There is also a local family history society around the district, again try the council, they might actually run it. Hi, There is a Wagga Family History Society and they have a website. They are also compiling a pioneer register at the moment. It will include people within a 50 mile radius of Wagga. I'm interested in several families from Wagga but I don't recognize any names in your family.
