Dear Penny You may have already had some replies but my computer has been in for repairs so I have only just found your email regarding Newspapers in the Boorowa area. The Burrowa News ran from 1873-1951 - outside your time frame. I have been to the State Library to look up obits in this paper and found that the earliest ones (1873 +) did not have any obituaries - these only appeared in later editions. The Yass Courier is online at www.webone.com.au/~sgrieves I think from 1856. There is also a book written about the Burrowa area - "Burrowa-Over 100 hundred Years of White Settlement" which lists the newspapers of the time. Sorry I don't remember the author or have a copy. I borrowed it from the library. You can also do a search on the State Library site for Newspapers. Hope this is some help.
