    3. I see that Samuel Chant married Rosetta Mott. I'm gathering Rosetta is from Albury, which was home to many Motts. They are still a presence - the family owns the Border Mail newspaper. It is only one of four independently owned regional daily newspapers in the country, and is also one of the best, winning many national and international awards. The Webb family is also a relatively large one in the Lavington area. From memory, I think one or two Webbs ended up on the Hume Shire Council (which had control of the Lavington suburb until the early 1960s when it was taken over by the Albury City Council).
