Viv, Euroka is a property at Walgett, used to be owned by Frederick Wolseley (inventor of the shearing machine. Don't know why the death would be registered at Grenfell. Does anyone know of a Euroka in the Grenfell district? Hi Looking for decendats of JOHN PAYNE & KATE WILHELMINA ATKINS. Ann
Ken, my rellie died in 1888, Henry Spiers, and he died at Grong Grong, near Newcastle. I could not find grave. Was told family may have not paid for the funeral, so he got no headstone. That is quite possible of course. Buriel records states he was buried there, but local council can find no trace in the 'old' cemetery. If anyone has any further info on my rellie there, they could get back to me and i would be very grateful. robyndehood. ----- Original Message ----- From: "ken catlin" <kcatlin@vtown.com.au> To: <AUS-NSW-CENTRAL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 06, 2002 8:28 AM Subject: [NSW-C] re catlin > Thank you marg yes as far as we know there is relos in grong grong cemetery but dad can't remember their names would love any info on them and any writing on the headstones many thanks > Ken catlin > >

Hi Penny I don't know about the Boorowa papers but Cowra goes back to the late 1880's. Cowra's papers are index from that time till the June of 1943. Hope this will also help you or someone else. Hi all, Hoping someone will know the names of any newspapers that would have covered Cowra/Boorowa in 1858. I have a copy of a will which gives the death of Henry Kelly as 19 February 1858, but unfortunately his death doesn't appear to have been registered. I'm hoping to find an obituary for him, to find more details about his parents. Regards, Penny

Dear List I am new to the list and would like to register the names I am researching from the Boorowa district. SMITH - George b. abt 1809 married Honora REGAN in 1845 at Yass. They lived at "Broughtonsworth", Boorowa. Issue: George b. 1845 m. Susannah MORGAN 27.2.1869 Sarah b. 27.4.1849 m William George VENABLES 18.1.1869 Robert b. 1.9.1851 m Mary Ann DAVIS Thomas b 1.1.1854 m Annie WATERS. Robert SMITH and family moved to the Cobar area. Also researching John MORGAN married to Pamela THORNBOROUGH. They were also from "Broughtonsworth", Boorowa. I would like to make contact with anyone researching any of these families. Regards Lorraine Central Coast
Listers, I have an interest in the names listed. Charles Summerell and Mary Webb, convicts, married in 1815. A daughter, Jane b 1826 married James Bales and lived many years in the Frogmore Boorowa area, another daughter Elizabeth married Thomas Petty and also lived in Boorowa. A son, Henry Summerell lived in Harden Murrumburrah. Many descendants still live in the area and I would welcome contact with anyone tracing these families or the hundreds of associated families. Hello Listers, I am looking for information on four members of the Clark family originally of Kirkoswald, Ayrshire in Scotland. They were the sons of John Clark and Elizabeth Scott. John and Elizabeth had six children: Mary Ann Clark m. Robert Pollock 24.11.1848 in Kirkoswald and is presumed to have stayed in Scotland. Elizabeth Clark c. 15.7.1832 Ochiltree Ayrshire. m Thomas McComb 3.11.1854 and is presumed to have stayed in Scotland. Robert Clark b. 1.10.1834 Ochiltree Ayrshire Andrew Scott Clark c. 7.8.1836 Ochiltree Ayrshire William Clark b. 1840 Kirkoswald Ayrshire David Clark b. 1845 Ochiltree Ayrshire. The four brothers migrated to Australia at different times. We have no information whatsoever about Robert Clark. Andrew Scott Clark married in Ayrshire to June McCreedy (not sure of spelling) and they both came to Australia. It is thought that the brothers originally settled in the Yarrawonga/Burrumbeet area, but later moved north and settled in the Narrandera/Wagga Wagga area. Andrew Scott Clark died 12.8.1916 in Narrandera. William Clark married Annie Barr 22.6.1861 and they both came to Australia. William Clark died 16.10.1920 in Paddington, a suburb of Sydney, but was buried 19.10.1920 in Wagga Wagga. David Clark married Elizabeth Thom (b. 1844 d. 1897) at Burrumbeet Victoria. David Clark died 18.8.1901 - death by misadventure when he accidentally drowned in the Murray River. His remains were interred in Burramine, Victoria. So David remained in Victoria whilst at least Andrew Scott Clark and William Clark moved at some stage to settle in New South Wales. Any information from anybody researching these men would be very welcome. We would particularly like to know any information at all regarding Robert Clark. TIA Janet

In later days the Stinson I have was on the "right " side of the Law (ie Policeman!)
