    3. Hello Selena So sorry not to get back to you, am having major computer problems, and moving house in a few weeks, so have most things packed. Will get back to the papers as soon as I can to look for the Howarth death as soon as I can. Am using a borrowed computer and can't get into other one at present to get adresses etc. Regards Marg ----- Original Message ----- From: "Selena" <sea123@hermes.net.au> To: <AUS-NSW-CENTRAL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, November 20, 2003 4:35 PM Subject: Re: [NSW-C] Junee Cemetery

    1. [NSW-C] [Admin] Changing e-mail addresses
    2. Linda Barraclough
    3. Hi Everyone, With SPAM getting right out of control, a lot of people are changing e-mail addresses. Which is fine. :) But this is just a reminder that what you need to do if you are on a list is to unsubscribe using your old address and then resubscribe using the new address. The subscription address for both is: [name of list]-L-request@rootsweb.com (for list/individual messages) or [name of list]-D-request@rootsweb.com (for Digest/consolidated messages) Use either "unsubscribe" or "subscribe" (depending on what you are doing), and the computer will deal with you just fine. At the moment I am getting quite a few messages (sometimes five a day) from people who just e-mail me or the list (which is not the preferred option!) saying they have changed their addresses. Often if it is to me I have no idea what list they are talking about (I administer a number) or I have no idea what the old e-mail address is that they want unsubscribed. So the answer is - just unsubscribe from the old address yourself, and subscribe using the new one. HOWEVER - if you have a listing in the surname pages you do need to e-mail me off-list, telling me which list homepages you are listed on, plus the old and new e-mail addresses. Otherwise there will be someone out there who is looking for you, and they will not be able to find you. Which would be sad. So you do need to spell it out for me in really simple terms - would love to have memorised where everyone is, but that is just not an option. Cheers Linda List-admin kapana@netspace.net.au

    1. [NSW-C] Hotels updated
    2. Linda Barraclough
    3. Hi Everyone, The last of the current set of notes on individual hotels, many of which are in the Central NSW area, as collected by Rusheen Craig has now been added - http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~surreal/NSWW/Hotels/individual-hotels-S-Z.html There are now also photographs (only from the western area) - not many as yet - at: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~surreal/NSWW/Hotels/photoindex.html The search engine HAS been updated - one jump-off point for that is at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~surreal/NSWW/Hotels/index.html As I was working my way through the last lot of notes I realised that due acknowledgement has not been made to Jill Livingstone, who is also on this list. She has provided HEAPS of information on her hotel-keeping families. Thank You Jill! If anyone else has information on any of their hotel-keeping families, Rusheen would love to hear about them. She can be contacted at recraig@optusnet.com.au Cheers Linda

    1. [NSW-C] Major Announcement - Hotels and Publicans
    2. Linda Barraclough
    3. Greetings List THIS IS A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT I have just uploaded Rusheen Craig's latest contribution to research in the area of Hotel Licences in the Western NSW area, which includes some material from this list as well. You can find a link off: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~surreal/NSWW/ or go direct to the directory in which they are housed at: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~surreal/NSWW/Hotels/index.html Many of you will be familiar with Rusheen's work on Homestead Leases in Western NSW (there is also a link off the first page above), and this is just as huge and wonderful. I am still uploading some of the support material, which will continue to be uploaded over the next few weeks - but all the actual licence details are there. Thank you very much Rusheen, on behalf of everyone, and thanks to peter (the Deputy on this List), for all the work on the tables and formatting. Not a bad Christmas present! 3. Thank you to Robin Wright. The James Jones entry is the one I was looking for, but I don't think the Lyle is related at least not directly. James death certificate states Walter L was 3 years old in 1912. I think he was called Lyle even though it was possibly his middle name. Daughters, Hilda (Dempsey) & Nellie (Davey) are buried at Wellington. Nothing is known of the rest of the family unfortunately. Thankyou from Robyn Jones Melbourne
