Thanks Jan No I haven't yet, but am about to compile something today. I think that's my last hope of finding out her parents. Thanks for your good advice. Hi Carolyn, Have you written to the Church in Grafton, which would be shown on the marriage certificate, as quite often, the required info re parents is shown in the Church Register, the early record keeping was quite slack, re parents names, as we have all found.Give that a go you may be lucky. Good Luck Jan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob & Carolyn Hart" <rcmhart@internode.on.net> To: <AUS-NSW-CENTRAL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 11, 2002 3:40 PM Subject: [NSW-C] Waverley and Grafton area for assistance please >
Hi all I am trying to obtain information about the parent's names of a relative who married in Grafton. The couple were married at Christ Church Grafton (Church of England) on 22 Novemver 1878. They were Louisa (nee) Croft and Samuel Thurman (aka Thumm) - I have Louisa and Samuel's marriage Certificate and neither the birthplace nor the parents of either the bride or groom appear on the certificate. Louisa Croft was born either1853 or 1854 in Parramatta NSW - cannot locate birth record from NSW BDMs or CDs to obtain parent's names and details. Samuel Thumm (aka Thurman) died in Picton in 1886 (prior to his daughter's wedding on 30 July 1886) I am not sure which month in 1913 Louisa Thumm (aka Thurman) died. I have had great difficulty obtaining the names of her parents to trace her back further. I am therefore seeking the help of anyone who may be able to check the marriage records at the church where they were married. Or the local library for Newspaper clippings etc., either in Grafton or Waverley. I have even checked out the Waverley Cemetery Site and the Obits at SMH site on the Internet to no avail. Any help most appreciated. Carolyn Hart

Hi, I've just begun researching my g-grandfather, named above. He married Alice Beatrice Mary Walsingham in Bourke in 1882. His second marriage was in Qld in 1889 when he married Amelia Mary Lynch. Is anyone else researching this family? With thanks, Babette (Gold Coast, Qld)
Jackie This a hoax don't delete. In reality, JDBGMGR.EXE is a standard Windows component. According to anti-virus company F-Secure, it uses as a Java debugger manager in a Microsoft Java runtime engine. You can read all about it at Symantec... http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/jdbgmgr.exe.file.hoax.html Jan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jacqueline Gilchrist" <cocopops2002@bigpond.com> To: <AUS-NSW-CENTRAL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, September 05, 2002 2:33 AM Subject: [NSW-C] Jackie had a virus > Listers, > I have just learned from a lister that she had a virus so checked my computer and there it was. John - I missed your initial query or would have jumped in by now.... it's usually covered in the AUS-ORANGEBATHURST list... Much of my research is centred on Hill End-Tambaroora. Hill End is 85 kms NW of Bathurst & 75kms SW of Mudgee. It may also be reached from Orange via the "Wine Highway" which doesn't really exist yet - govt agencies don't find it important enough, but it would be a boon for wineries in the two areas, not to mention our little township, which exists largely due to tourism and gold mining history buffs. I've moved to Bathurst from Hill End for work and healthcare reasons, but visit weekly. I'm going away for a week or so in the next few days, but if you'd like me to follow up for you, I'd be pleased to do so. Am already looking at the ROBERTS, but don't know yet if it's yours. I have access to some of the BDM handwritten records, and will see what we have concerning your names. My deepest apologies all, I have had no experience with this sort of thing before, and over-reacted. I assure you it will never happen again, I have learned my lesson. A reminder for ALL - it is a firm protocol of Rootsweb lists that virus warnings are NOT posted to lists. It makes it worse when you send to your entire address book, as that sends the entire set of addresses to all list members. So if anyone who receives that list gets a certain virus, with your address list still in their computer, the virus gets sent to your friends.
