Hi Christine On Ancestry there only one family tree for a Margaret Stelle and it reads:-- Margaret Anne Steele born c1901 her parents are Thomas Steel and Christina ? She marries William John Frew 1919 at Wallsend, NSW registration number 4574 Their children are girl private, boy private and Ian Kenneth Frew 1926-1972 in Balmain That is all the information on the Steele family but William John Frew was born 1896-1981 his family goes back to 1625 On the 1968 Electoral roll William, Margaret and Lester Thomas all were living at 28 Murralong Ave, Five Dock --Div. Parkes 1954 E/ Rolls Lester Thomas, Ian Kenneth, Margaret Anne, William John all at the same address as above. 1949 E/ Rolls Ian Kenneth, Margaret Anne, Margaret Annie, and William John at same address as above. Hi Josephine, Thank you for this. To give you some background Margaret STEELE was my Great Uncle's step daughter. Presumably they remained close after her mother's death as she was mentioned in his death notice along with a Jim who I am yet to identify. My Great Uncle lived in Sydney for a short time but returned to New Zealand after the death of his wife Christina in 1930. I have found my Great Uncle and his second wife on passenger list from Wellington to Sydney in 1950. I don't know whether this trip was a one off or a regular occurrence although when he died in 1972 he left the contents of his bank account in Sydney to Margaret. Incidentally Ian Kenneth most likely got his second name Kenneth from my Great Uncle whose name was Kenneth KENNEDY. I don't currently have a subscription to Ancestry but I would be keen to make contact with anyone who would have known Kenneth during his time in Sydney. The owner of the tree at ancestry may not be closely related but at this stage this is all that I have to go on. If anyone is able to help in this respect it would be appreciated.
