Hello listers, Some time ago I was able to go into bdm.nsw.gov.au and find out the date of death and where buried of relatives. However, when I tried recently, a message came up to say it could not be opened. Is there another site that will do the same task? Many thanks Ian McEachern Western Australia
I just tried it Ian and it worked OK for me. Is there another site that will do the same task? Hi Ian If theres a newspaper notice you might find this info but never have from the NSW BDM indexes All these have ever shown is the year and rego area name . Transcriptions are alot cheaper The Qld indexes give you the full date but no rego area name aside from c meaning country and B meaning Brisbane Bye MargM Beautiful NSW Central Coast
Hi Ian, Do you mean the BDM index? If so - http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/Index/IndexingOrder.cgi/search?event=births There are quite a few inscriptions and photos of headstones (mainly country areas) at Australian Cemetery Index - http://austcemindex.com/inscriptions.php and you may find death/funeral notices in the newspapers - http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/home If you let the List know who you are looking for, there may be CDs etc that can be checked also.
