Hi Listers Looking for help with my BATES family. Edward BATES married Ann LAVIS in Moruya NSW in 1894 - this morning I received a copy of their marriages from NSW and I am really peeved because Edward DID NOT put his parents names down nor his place of birth nor his age. He was married in St Johns church in Moruya and the marriage was registered in Sydney which threw me somewhat because I 'assumed' that that was where they married. However I now have to rethink this and he perhaps lived and worked in Moruya and perhaps his family were there as well. I have contacted the Moruya Historical Society and hope they may be able to help but if anyone has connections with the above family would love to hear from them cheers Patsy
