Hi Joy/Hazel I've taken your advice and contacted the BDM to see if they can explain why I could never find the death/burial details of my Michael Byrne in 1827 in Sydney, maybe this is another example of the death being registered many years later for some reason or other?? It will be very interesting if they can offer some insight or advise for me, of course could be that his name has been spelt in such a way that I have never been able to find it as well, many variants on the spelling of BYRNE.
