Good morning I am researching a family named Lamb who arrived in Australia in 1829 onboard the "Resource" I have quite a lot of information about the family but have come up against something I have not seen before. While checking the BDM'S online fr the birth of children to Henry C Dangar and Lucy J (Jane) nee Lamb I have an entry for a child named Reginald N the strange thing is the entry gives the registration number 180318/2005 would this mean that this child was not registered until 2005 for reasons unknown? Thank you Hazel in Blacktown
Hi Hazel That is strange you would think some one has make a mistake but I did have a marriage that was registered 40 years after they were married. On the BD&M site you can email their History experts for any help. There are a lot of family trees for Dangar on Ancestry, some with photo of Henry C Dangar. There is a Reginald Neville Dangar b 3 Sep 1869 Redleaf, Double Bay, NSW and died 4 June 1952 Guernsey, Channel Island. Married Beatrice Shailer Weston 10 Sep 1900 in Woollahra, NSW One child Elizabeth Mary Dangar 18 June 1901 Point Piper, NSW died 1 April 1966 Sydney.
