Hi all, I have a record of a conditional purchase of 40 acres of land in the "district of Wellington", notably not Parish or County, in 1864.( with an ID and conditional purchase No.). The earliest parish map I can find online for the area I believe my gt grandfather may have been living at this time, is 1884, in the parish of Merinda, County of Wellington. I have been to the LPMA archives in Sydney on one occasion, but unfortunately had little help from the front desk on where to search. I may have not been armed with all the information necessary to get some guidance. Does anyone know whether there would be more information available on this type of land purchase, for example, a more exact location? I would also appreciate any helpful hints on how to get the best out of your visit to the LPMA before making the trek. Many thanks to anyone who may have time to respond seeing it's the hurly burly lead up to Christmas! Cheers Sue
