Hi Listers, One of my cousins has just sent me a copy of The Western Age Newspaper, published in Cobar, dated Wednesday 17 November 1915. It was found amongst my grandfather's belongings and contained a letter he wrote home from Gallipoli which his parents had published in their local newspaper. Anyway, there is a Memoriam Notice on the same page, which I am sending to the List in case it belongs to anyone here - I haven't located a birth for John CLEMENT in New South Wales and have no idea either who he is, or who Lillian GAVIN of Lithgow is. Cheers Trish Nowra NSW THE WESTERN AGE, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 1915 (Vol 5, No 506) IN MEMORIAM - CLEMENT - In loving memory of my dear friend, Jack Clement, who died at Cobar, November 15th, 1912. Oh death often comes to show us, We love more dearly than we know; But love in death should make us see, What love in live should always be. Not a second disturbs your slumber, Not a care to mark your brow; All your pains and trials are over, You are happy resting now. Inserted by his true friend, Lillian Gavin, Lithgow. >From the NSW BMD Index, John CLEMENT was the son of John and Nora, Cobar (15175/1912).
