    2.   Hello Richard, Have you tried the Lidcombe historical society? I am not all that far away ... at "Liberty Plains" in the old place names. So I might even be able to go past and tell you what's there now. Almost certainly however it will NOT be a farm. As "Developers" have discovered Sydney, it's suburbs, and now also all the Cumberland Plain west from Sydney to the Blue Mountains. And their preference is decidedly for things like "Twin 32 storey towers" and such-like. In fact the Olypmics people (at Homebush Bay) recently announced that they had "Broken their own record!". This however was not in running or jumping or suchlike but was about them having erected a new tower higher that all the others there - I think that was another one of about 30 storeys.    Wow! The Developers are not keen on farms and if one was found there (which it most unlikely anyway) it would be instantly developed into something else. The most likely place, I suspect, where a farm might have been to match what you are talking about would be .. I'd guess .. along the eastern flank of the Duck River. Probably no ducks left in it now though?   Not in Lidcombe/Auburn area .. but there are still ducks in it, I think, further downstream towards the Parramatta River. But DO try the local historical society. They are likey to have a better opinion than I am on the matter.
