    3. Hi Christine These records are now online as digital copies and this shows your Catherine, Mary, Margaret & Bridget on this page as single women and Dennis is on the page with single men. http://srwww.records.nsw.gov.au/ebook/list.asp?Page=NRS5316/4_4799/Samuel%20 Plimsoll%20[2]_16%20Dec%201874/4_479900137.jpg&No=15 This is the site containing the ships shown on the State Records - online digital records. http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/state-archives/guides-and-finding-aids/nrs-lis ts/nrs-5316/#the-list-of-ships Cheers Joan Hello, I am wondering if there is anyone going to the above repository who would be able to do a look up for me. Series number: 5328 Title: Ships' papers Start date: 1839 End date: 1891 Contents start date: 1839 Contents end date: 1891 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Descriptive note: The papers are arranged chronologically by ship and include such items as certificates of arrival, health reports, tenders, lists of immigrants leaving the ship without formal engagements, copies of contracts between immigrants and employers, and matrons' diaries. I am specifically interested in the CARR siblings; Catherine, Mary, Denis, Margaret and Bridget who arrived on the Samuel Plimsoll in December 1874. I know that this is a big ask but any help would be appreciated. Regards, Christine

    3. Hi Joan, Yes I am aware that the passenger lists are online and I already have copies. I was specifically after any additional information relating to their arrival. These are separate records entitled "ships papers" Descriptive note: The papers are arranged chronologically by ship and include such items as certificates of arrival, health reports, tenders, lists of immigrants leaving the ship without formal engagements, copies of contracts between immigrants and employers, and matrons' diaries. These items have not been digitised. However in scrolling down the page there appears to be a list of the ships to which these papers relate and the voyage of the Samuel Plimsoll that I am interested in is not listed. I am assuming that this may mean that there is no additional information but I would welcome any comments from anyone who has previously used this resource.
