This has to do with some family history I have. Hi Elaine Do you mean Belfield ? That's small Sydney suburb in the Greenacre, S Strathfield area . Probably the quickest way would be the check the price of houses for sale in the real estate part of the Sydney Morning Herald in Trove. Bye MargM Beautiful NSW Central Coast

Elaine, Google Earth will tell you what the house looks like now and if it hasn't been altered too much will give an idea as to how it looked in the 50s. Lots of the Belfield area houses have been radically changed though. I was also lucky recently and managed to trace a missing person via the sign on the front of their building in Eastwood as seen in Google Earth David > Dear listers, I am just wondering if any one would have any > idea the average value of a three bedroom cottage in Belfields > Nsw in 1954.
